Disk Selection: If disk partitions are damaged or lost, Archive File Recovery can recover lost files/data from the partitions.
Drive Selection: If disk no problem, just select Drive, because it is faster to recover files when you proceed step 4, if not, BYclouder Archive File Recovery will scan the whole disk,that would spend a lot of time. therefore that is unnecessary!
Enable or disable the recovery of certain file types.
There are two buttons Mark All and Unmark all. you can choose the file types you want to recover. and then click OK button.
To filter some file types,there is a good idea, you should click Unmark all button first, then mark what you want the file types.
To search some file extension, there is good idea, you click the item ".tar",then type the first letter of the file extension. therefore that is unnecessary to browse the whole list view to search some file type.
BYclouder Archive File Recovery can search files from the whole partition and the unallocated space.
from the whole partition :This is very useful if the filesystem is corrupted, it will scan the whole partition space, that would spend a lot of time.
from the unallocated space: This is available for ext2/ext3/ext4, FAT12/FAT16/FAT32 and NTFS. selection the item only deleted files are recovered.
Note: Recovered data and files should not be save the recovered disk directory! This is very importent, if you do so, It will override the recovered disk data! so you have to choose other disks and the disks space are large enough.
